As a Northwest Arkansas professional woman, I know how important it is to have the support of my family and community. For hundreds of women, that support comes through the organization Dress for Success Northwest Arkansas.
Dress for Success NWA recently hosted the Little Black Dress Dinner Party, which featured information about the non-profit and personal testimonies from five successful clients. I had the honor of taking professional headshots of these five women and I’ve worked with Dress Success before to take pictures of their boutique. I’m grateful that DFSNWA named me a sponsor for my contributions.
DFSNWA has served more than 500 women since opening its doors in 2013. The ripple effect of that is much larger, however. More than 3,000 lives were affected through those women being empowered through Dress for Success because a woman’s success and financial empowerment affect her family as well.
Dress for Success is “more than just the suit.” They provide other support programs including career coaching, resume reviews, mock interviews, and soft skills workshops.
The Little Black Dress Dinner Party was a first-time fundraising event for DFSNWA and it featured amazing food from some of Northwest Arkansas’ best chefs and catering companies. Many great items were auctioned off and the community truly got the chance to learn about these great women that Dress for Success supports.
I loved meeting the five women who are serving as this year’s Success Ambassadors and being able to provide them with professional portraits that will help them continue their path of success.
