“April hath put a spirit of youth in everything. (Sonnet XCVIII)” ― William Shakespeare

I love springtime, don’t you? The flowers and trees start to bloom, birds are chirping, and you can smell the fresh, new hope and renewed life of spring.

Spring is one of the best times for outdoor photography, for several reasons. For one, it’s usually warmer outside but not hot so clients are more comfortable during their shoot. More relaxed people make for better photos.

As the trees bud and flowers bloom, it also creates a nice background for photos. Erin-6689-2

Spring is my favorite time of year to photograph children which leads me into my third reason spring photography is a great time to take photos. Children are eager to get outside after a cold winter so they make for happy subjects outdoors, running free.  My children sessions always include some running around.

In spring we see additional clients for pre-prom photography sessions, senior photography, and Mother’s Day sessions so it becomes a busy season for our studio especially for outdoor photography.  We know we must be flexible with scheduling sessions in April and May due to the weather changes.  If you are interested in scheduling photography in the most colorful time of the year contact us to find the right time and place for you.
